
Technique connue depuis plus de 50 ans, la neurostimulation médullaire consiste à envoyer de minuscules impulsions électriques au niveau de la moelle épinière grâce à une électrode adaptée, implantée à son contact.
Le principe est de bloquer au niveau médullaire les messages de douleur transmis au cerveau.
Selon la Société Française d’Etude et de Traitement de la Douleur, il est important que la technique puisse être proposée, rapidement au bout d’un an d’évolution, aux patients souffrant de radiculalgies post-opératoires.
