Dans le cadre des douleurs neuropathiques localisées, les patchs de capsaïcine sont un traitement recommandé internationalement.

La capsaïcine, qui est un dérivé du piment, va activer dans la zone où elle est appliquée les récepteurs à la chaleur. Ces récepteurs sont reliés aux fibres qui conduisent le message douloureux et leur modulation entraine une désensibilisation de la zone. Peu à peu la douleur va diminuer et la zone réduire, voire disparaître.

Les poses de patchs se réalisent en hôpital de jour, en général tous les 2 mois tant que nécessaire, au Cabinet d’Algologie au sein de la Clinique Chénieux. Le médecin délimitera la zone à traiter puis vous serez pris en charge par l’équipe infirmière dédiée.

En sortant de votre soin, vous prenez un rendez-vous avec votre médecin algologue pour l’évaluation du traitement.
